According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a typical broiled venison loin steak weighs 54 g, around 2 oz., and has 81 calories. A broiled venison top round steak has 155 calories in a 102 g steak.
Calories from Fat
MedlinePlus notes that each g of fat has 9 calories. A venison loin steak has a little more than 1 g of fat has not quite 12 calories from fat. A venison top round steak has almost 2 g of fat for almost 18 calories from fat.
Calories from Protein
A single g of protein has four calories. A venison loin steak has more than 16 g of protein, giving it more than 65 calories from protein. A venison top round steak has more than 32 g of protein for 128 calories from protein.
